Special prizes for participants in the International WOWMOSCOW Competition

The HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL is happy to announce special prizes for the participants of the International Competition of Short Videos about Cities WOWMOSCOW.

As part of the regular competition HSE CREATIVE OPEN, special prizes are awarded to participants representing the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL:

• Elizaveta Ilnitskaya (Moscow in Bloom) — 50,000 roubles;
   
• Alexandra Osipova (A walk along the Istra River) — 30,000 roubles;
   
• Ivan Mikuts (Friendship) — 20,000 roubles.

Among the works that did not make it to the final round, the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL would like to highlight the project Your answer is Baikal by Lera Juffer. In recognition of its artistic value, Lera will be awarded a certificate for an advanced training course in screen arts at our school.

While her work does not directly address the theme of cities, it presents a deeply personal video story about places meaningful to the author — capturing their emotional resonance and visual appeal.

On August 10, the finalists arrived in Moscow to take part in a film workshop and a rich cultural and educational program, which included visits to some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks. During the workshop, they presented their concepts for future films to an international jury, outlining their chosen genre, locations, and overall vision.

The winner of the International Competition of Short Videos about Cities will be officially announced on August 15. They will have the opportunity to produce a short film about Moscow with the support of a professional team. The completed film will be screened on August 24 as part of the Moscow International Film Week.
