The FUTURE nomination, curated by Maria Stepanova, head of the Product and Industrial Design program, and supported by the DAFES platform, focused on conceptual developments by emerging designers. Participants presented innovative devices, objects created using unique authorial techniques, and bold solutions for the material environment.
Students from the Product and Industrial Design program won in two award categories. Anastasia Kogteva took the top prize in the FUTURE category with her service robot for space, Belka, recognized for its innovation. Anna Mochalova received an award in the NOW design category, under the Mass Production subcategory, for her graduation furniture collection East&West, which showcased strong potential for large-scale manufacturing.

The HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL offers a Bachelor's program in Product and Industrial Design, where students are introduced to contemporary design processes and gain knowledge in user experience design, modern rapid prototyping technologies, and 3D modeling. They also learn to develop product strategies that take the entire lifecycle into account. Starting with simple projects, students work through the entire product development pipeline — from initial design research to pre-production prototypes.
