On December 12, Natalia Logutova, Deputy Director of the HSE Institute for Creative Industries Development, spoke at the Russia – Vietnam: 75 Years of Cooperation forum, delivering a report on global career development in the creative industries. During a roundtable dedicated to best practices in inter-university collaboration, she presented the HSE Creative Global initiative, along with digital tools from the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL and the Institute for Creative Industries Development that serve as a foundation for international cooperation and the career growth of young professionals.
During a roundtable dedicated to best practices in inter-university collaboration, Logutova detailed the HSE Creative Global program — a joint initiative of the Institute for Creative Industries Development and the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL aimed at fostering international careers for students and alumni. The program features lectures, discussions, consultations, and meetings with experts from various countries, helping participants navigate the global market of creative professions.
Logutova emphasized that cooperation between universities and specialized institutions and their colleagues in Vietnam, India, China, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other nations begins with expert-level dialogue. Discussions regarding the specific nuances of career development in the creative industries help define directions for future interaction while simultaneously acting as a launchpad for those just entering the profession.
Special attention was paid to the digital infrastructure that the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL has been developing since its inception. Logutova identified the Creative City portal as a key tool — a professional community and database of best practices in local branding and cultural-historical heritage. The Institute for Creative Industries Development and the HSE ART AND DESIGN SCHOOL are developing this platform jointly, transforming it into a hub for exchanging experience, showcasing projects, and promoting new territories on the international creative map.
Logutova invited Vietnamese colleagues to collaborate within the framework of Creative City, to join the expert council of the DAFES AWARDS international competition platform (which already features over 70 projects from Vietnam), and to discuss opportunities for sharing digital tools to support the career trajectories of creative students. In her view, these initiatives can serve as the basis for deepening cooperation and forming sustainable professional ties between the two countries.
